Who we are

Since 1987, the Advanced Ophthalmologic Practice (AOP) has been dedicated to providing the highest quality of educational material in the field of ophthalmology. Since 2016, under the direction of a new organization, AOP has developed to include international partnerships and speakers to reach ophthalmologists worldwide.

What we do best

Each year, the best specialists in the field of ophthalmology are invited to share their expertise on the different treatments and techniques available: refractive surgery, cataract, cornea, retina, glaucoma, uveitis, contact lenses, pediatric ophthalmology but also aesthetic ophthalmology and professional business.

The AOP annual meetings and monthly webinars bring the latest medical innovations in ophthalmology through dynamic learning formats so that participants have the necessary trainings and tools at their disposal to meet their educational needs and improve their practice.

Our mission embodies the following standards:

FAIR REPRESENTATION

The speakers, members and participants of AOP represent the diversity of professionals in the field of ophthalmology without exception.

LEADING EDUCATION

AOP Congresses and online courses offer practical knowledge and techniques of 12 key themes in ophthalmology, training you with the tools you can apply directly to your practice.

PROFESSIONAL ETHICS

The educational material of AOP strictly adheres to ethical codes that minimize bias and commercial influences.

How we operate

A medical congress is nothing without its contributors. At AOP we recognize the value that our speakers, exhibitors and participants bring to each of our activities. As such, we have constituted 13 Task Forces to ensure that AOP constantly pushes the boundaries and distinguishes itself in terms of content quality, innovation and education in the field of ophthalmology. The Task Forces are comprised of international members who are assigned tasks for the development of at least one of the following 13 areas:
