Objectives: Rappeler une urgence rare chez l’enfant = le Glaucome de l’enfant : ses défis diagnostiques et thérapeutiques

Conclusion: Le glaucome de l'enfant est une pathologie rare et grave.
Les progrès thérapeutiques médicaux et chirurgicaux sont à connaître.
La connaissance des signes cliniques et la détéction précoce est nécessaire
La prise en charge est hyperspécialisée.
Des progrès demeurent à faire sur la fonction visuelle, la qualité de vie, la génétique…
Le glaucome congénital est une cécité qui peut être (mais pas toujours dans les formes les plus graves) évitable, s'il est correctement pris en charge.
