I am now a consultant in private practice having previously worked in the NHS from 1970-2016. I run, jointly, the ESCRS Cataract Didactic Course annually at their Winter meeting. I sit on the ESCRS Education Committee and am an examiner for the FEBOS-CR exam. I am chief judge of the ESCRS Video Competition. In the past 40 years I have lectured in 60 countries. I have been privileged to have given many named lectures including the Binkhorst Medal Lecture at ESCRS in Barcelona in 2015. I was this year received as an Honored Guest of ASCRS and sit on their Program Committee.
