SAMIR's ambition is to promote and disseminate information related to the extremely rapid development of diagnostic and therapeutic techniques, thanks to the annual holding of its congress which takes place within the framework of that of SAMIR. Since its creation, SAMIR has maintained close ties of national and international partnerships and collaborations: SAFIR, SMO, AOP, AOPA, ATMO, ATTOC, and with similar companies specializing in French-speaking Africa, with the participation of laboratories, pharmaceutical companies, equipment companies which help us to sustain this great congress and to improve its scientific quality. SAMIR also participates in information campaigns for the general public and works to represent the profession with the supervisory authorities in its field of activity. The scientific spirit of SAMIR is part of continuing medical training in refractive and cataract surgery as well as in the exchange of South-South experiences.
