Objectives: Facial expressions are produced by the synergistic or co-operative action of many different facial muscles.
Ptosis is derived from the Greek word for falling and is the medical terminology describing a drooping or abnormal lowering of an anatomical area. When ptosis pertains to the eyelid it is more accurately described as blepharoptosis

Materials / method: When a Ptosis surgery is required a simple method of blocking the synergy between Frontalis and Orbicularis Orbitalis Muscle t before surgery is donde so against the Hering´s Law, (when attempting to open one eye, nerve impulse is sent in equal amounts to the two levators), we block frontalis and the patient uses only its Par 3 innervation to raise upper lid

Conclusion: Using this simple method, we obtain a better and more accurate post operative result.
