Objectives: La capsule postérieure participe avec la zonule cristallinienne à la barrière vitréo-aqueuse maintenue lors de l’extraction extracapsulaire du cristallin, réalisée maintenant toujours par phacoémulsification.
Une rupture capsulaire postérieure en cours d’intervention avec les risques de chute du noyau est toujours une complication grave grevant le pronostic.
