LASIK complications: prevention and management

Objectives: your purpose is to expose how to prevent and manage Lasik complications

Introduction: Lasik is one of the most sure and efficient surgery. However, in some cases, we have to think how to prevent complications, and unfortunately, to manage them....
We describe complications and how to prevent and manage them.

Materials / method: 2 types of complications are described :
- Per operatively
- Post operatively

Results: During the surgery, the risk of complications is very low. We explain how to prevent flap complications and optimize laser photoablation.
Post operatively, we describe differents types of complications and we explain how to prevent and manage each of them :
- mechanical and tectonic complications
- infectious complications
- inflammatory complications
- epithelial ingrowth
- optical complications
- ecstatics disease

Conclusion: LASIK is a very sure and efficient procedure. We can reduce the complications with some reflexion and experience....
